OK, so I know I said I wouldn't only feature CB listings but this just happens to be another one of them. I would have picked Chula Senda, a Dickson Podley listing, but at $702 per square foot, it doesn't meet my "home of the week" criteria.
2021 Tondolea Lane, a beautiful Cape Cod on a tree-lined street. Definitely a victim of the current market. It sold off-market in 2005. Had it been listed at that time, it would have had multiple offers and sold for more. I remember 2005-2006. The market was going up so fast that you would price off of the most recent sale and then sell it for 10% more. I know it was that reckless behavior that got us into this mess, but I must admit to missing the good ol' days. Back to the house...listed in July for $2,095,000, reduced in August and then again in November. At $454 per square foot, it is a great deal even in today's market. The house shows like a Pottery Barn catalog. The only valid complaint I have heard is that the yard is small, and it is. In spite of that fact, this is one of those houses that agents look at and can't believe it is still on the market. If you need 4 bedrooms and a great finished basement, this house could work...
