In the September 4th blog I mentioned our latest endeavor, raising the living room ceiling. After several months of negotiations*, the ne'er-do-well contractor finally stepped up to the plate. Vaulting the ceiling completely changed the room, yet feels like we just exposed the original plan of how the room was supposed to be.
